We still have a lot to do but there is always going to be a project to do. I think I have a few pictures of our house after it is completed. Since Bobby and I moved in we have spend very few weekends at home. We have went to visit His sister and her family in TN, nephews bday parties, and then we got to go to the Bama/LSU game. Wow! we have been very busy!   Now to enjoy this weekend trip I have planned  to the beach and then Thanksgiving..

Project Wilson Update

Alright we are about two weeks away from moving into our new house.. We are so excited and can't wait to see the final product. There have been many long nights spend our at the new house, but they are worth it. Bobby and I are SO lucky to have people like my parents who are helping us and  our friends and family. Bobby's Uncle Mark and a good friend of ours Stan came and laid  part of the tile last night and are going to finish tonight. All we have left to do are the floors (carpet and hardwood) This has been a stressful project but it has also been fun. Bobby and I are SO thankful for everyone who has help us. There is No way we could have done it without everyone.  Here are a few updated pictures.

Here is our Tile

Useless....

My father-in-law just recently retired from the Post Office after thirty something years... He was one hard worker and if I recall correctly I think he said he never once used a sick day. That is pretty impressive! My sister-in-law, Tammy, got a little get retirement party together at a nice restaurant The Courtyard. We have such a fun time. Congratulations Danny! Enjoy all that free time :)

Snead Dove Shoot

This weekend was the annual Snead Dove shoot.  I love to hang out with my sister and her husband any chance I get. The men shoot the dove all day and then the ladies prepare the birds and then we eat. It is held in Centre, Al which is a small town. There are many people who come to the Dove shoot. Bobby had to work so he didn't get to come this year. It is so much fun and I can't wait till next year.

Updates on Project Wilson

This is week 2 on project wilson... We have gotten a lot done this first week. Since my dad is a realtor and he remodels houses he already has a team of people who do work for him.  My uncle Mike came up Friday and got a lot accomplished. The ceiling is vaulted ready for wood, and now there is a cased opening in our kitchen. This week, my dad and stepmom  took a vaction to Mexico and will be gone until the end of the week. Bobby and I still have a TO Do list to get done while they are gone. This week we are painting the base boards and window trim, painting doors, and working on the landscaping. We still have a long way to go but we are making progress!! Here are a few pictures of our progress.

We did not have lights in that room....

Project Wilson

Today was Demo Day at our house!! This morning, my Dad, Bobby and I went to a place called Dixie Salvage. I fell in love with this place. They have everything you would need if you are remodeling a house. We found our counter tops, our front door, and the tile for our bathrooms. I can already tell this process is going to be fun! When we got back to our house are lunch this afternoon, we started  work on the house. Bobby and our good friend Lindsey ripped out the carpet, took up some of the base boards and crown molding, and covered the kitchen so we can paint on Monday. This project is in full swing. We should be moving in the first of October. I can't wait to see the house when everything is complete!

Weekend fun

This past weekend I went to the river with some of my girl friends.. I am trying to squeeze in as much fun as I can before we start school back! We had so much fun wakeboarding and inner tubing. Now I know I am not old but the way I felt the next morning made me think I was. All in all it was a great Sunday on the Coosa..

I have the best friends anyone could ask for

Bobby and I have both been very busy with our jobs and our new house we always make time for our friends though. Some of our closest friends Tori and Mitchell are leaving B'ham and moving to Destin. We could not be happier for them and a little jealous at the same time. All of us girls and our husband got together at the Summit to eat dinner to say goodbye. I love getting together with my best friends and getting to catch up. They are the best! Good Luck Tori and Mitch we love you.

We made it through the first year!

I never posted any pictures of Our wedding so I thought I would post some pictures. Also we just recently celebrated our one year anniversary.. Wow how time flies. We look forward to many more anniversaries to come.

We are Home Owners

Bobby and I just bought our first home!!! We have been looking for about a year now. My dad is a Real Estate agent so he has been a great help during this whole process. I feel like we had tons of people helping us look. My sisters-in law would call to tell us about a house they found they thought we would like, along with my step-mother. My sisters-in -law live in a very cute neighborhood in Boaz City limits. Bobby and I really wanted to buy a house in the city limits because of how strick the School system is. On a Wednesday afternoon Tammy, my sister-in-law, called me to tell me that there was a brick home in their neighborhood that just came up for sale. I called my dad to tell him about it. He looked into it and came up to Boaz that night to show it to us. We loved it!! We knew there needed to be a few improvements but wanted it badly. God knew what he had in store for us and now when we look back we know why we were so patience! The Good Lord took care of us. That Friday morning we were signing a contract for the house.  We close on the house next week and will not be able to move in until October. We havea lot of project we want to do first.  I will post before and after pictures soon!

The First few months of marriage...

Ok... Bobby and I have been married for six months and they have been six wonderful months. They have also been very challenging. We dated for seven years before we got married so we both knew we were ready to get married, but living together is a big adjustment. Bobby plays a video game called Call of Duty which most guys play, but I think Bobby plays way to much. This is something I am having to get use to. I of course can not make him stop playing because that would not be fair.  He plays in our living room so this means when he plays I either have to watch him or go in our bedroom to watch TV. We are still working on this issue :) I am also a tad bit OCD. I tend to go right behind Bobby and pick up his mess before he even has a chance to. During these first few months of marriage I am learning that I am going to have to let the little things go. Like getting ill when Bobby does not pull the shower curtain closed,  or when he doesn't put his clothes in the hamper but instead throws them infront of it.. I can easy do go behind him and fix these things! I can tell he tries to do things like I would  and that is huge for him because he lived at home before we got married  and his mother did it all for him.  Like I said these first few months of marriage have been GREAT but it is all just a big adjustment. Bobby and I our loving every min of married life. Maybe he will start to pick up some of my OCD habits...... :)
